Hey, just giving you the latest updates on the web design projects I am working on.
By the date in the header you can already guess that the blogging site I was working on is finished, met with the company on Wednesday and they wanted membership functionality added in as well, so that was all that I had to do. As you know BuddyPress and I have a history (not a good one) but this time everything went so smoothly that I was almost scared. The only challenge I came across mainly out of stubborn idiocy, was that S2member was the only plugin that effectively subscribers from seeing the WordPress back-end.
But here’s the kicker when you mix Theme My Login and S2Member, S2Member breaks some of the styles, which if you had activated all the plugins at once, would have been impossible to pick up (trust me on this one),
so here’s the fix that you just plug into you
functions.php file to fix it
// S2Member fix for Theme My Login add_filter("ws_plugin__s2member_login_header_styles", "__return_false");
So now the only thing left for me to do, is bring over their old posts, which is going to take a while because they were using standard HTML before (god help me), and to put in their streaming codes, and I am done.
here’s a live demo of the site: Live Demo
The other site, that would be a custom project from the ground up, so I am going to be learning a lot on the ins and outs of WordPress theming as well as advanced css and less
